Netflix Faces Streaming Snags During Jake Paul-Mike Tyson Match
On Friday night, thousands of Netflix users in the United States encountered service disruptions, according to outage-tracking website DownDetector, reports Reuters.
The issue arose as viewers tuned in to watch the highly anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson via live streaming. By 10:35 PM local time, DownDetector reported 85,021 user complaints regarding the outage.
The disruptions were primarily concentrated in major cities like New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles, though sporadic reports emerged from other areas as well.
Netflix has not yet provided a comment in response to the situation.
This is not the first time the platform has faced challenges during high-traffic live events. Similar issues occurred in April last year during the live streaming of the popular reality dating show Love Is Blind.
